WHY USE PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS?

Promotional products are playing an ever-increasing importance in the marketing mix nowadays, mainly due to the fact that the variety is so huge and they are a very effective way of exposing your brand.
In the advertising industry the effectiveness of an advert is measured by: How many people it reaches, how many times they see it, do they relate to it? Do they recall what it was selling? Will it make them buy it?
Try and think of any other sort of advertising that is as effective as promotional products at delivering you exposure to customers and generating goodwill that leads to sales. Consider these examples:

Be at the top of the list

A simple, low cost item such as a mouse mat, magnet, mug or pen will offer you a lot of repeat advertising exposure to your customer/target market. Your logo, message and even contact details will always be on hand – they will not have to go to the yellow pages or Google to find your (and your competitors!) details.

Marketing
Marketing is the most common use for promotional products. Whether you’re promoting a specific event, displaying at a trade show or just trying to increase brand awareness for your company, promotional products provide a fun and effective way for companies to get information to potential customers.

Employee Incentives
Nothing motivates employees like receiving rewards for their hard work! To improve their personal bests or to achieve a higher volume of customer compliments, consider giving employees special promotional items to boost their morale and let them know that they are appreciated. Remember that happy employees are usually more motivated to do quality work. With the huge range of gear available the options are limited only by your imagination (and budget!) Consider this - a $30 gift will represent less than 1/1000th of most employees pay.

Thank You Gifts

If you follow up a sale with a thank you gift (and no, it doesn’t need to be an expensive one), then you can almost guarantee continued success and repeat orders with that customer. Phone calls are missed and emails are forgotten, but promotional products keep your company’s message prominent!

Membership
Promotional products make great “exclusive” or “for members only” gifts! This way, customers are receiving exclusive items instead of just paying an empty membership fee. Embroidered polos, caps, classy key chains or personalised sports bags are just some of the options that we see work well.

Sponsorship
It may be an event, it may be a team – whatever it is that you may sponsor then get some bang for your buck! It may be a golf day (golf balls, towels, polos, caps?), a particular sporting club (drink bottles, clothing, stubby holders?) or your local school (caps, sunscreens, sports day tees?) – it doesn’t matter what it is, why not get your logo or message out these by including some branded products for the cause.

Customer Loyalty Programs
Encourage active consumerism by making your promotional products into rewards. For example, some bars have official t-shirts for entry discounts, sporting clubs can use keyrings or stubby holders for “members only” specials and there’s gyms that offer imprinted packs for membership loyalty. Put some thought into your promotions and they could become huge hits and very rewarding for you!

Fundraising
Fundraising is particularly beneficial to nonprofit and charity organisations. If you have a sponsor donating a certain amount of money, your cause can benefit greatly by investing money in high-ticket items or promotional gift baskets that can be sold or auctioned off at a benefit dinner or fundraiser. The sponsor and your company get brand exposure, the cause gets funding, and the customer walks away with a new item. It’s a win-win-win situation!

So here’s just a few ideas to get you thinking – the rest is up to you. If you would like some ideas that fit in with your campaign and budget then please contact us today and we’ll be more than happy to assist you from go to whoa!
